[06:11] <Darkside> you can see serious weirdness here: https://sondehub.org/card/DFM-19048520
[06:16] <Darkside> i think the problem is coming from the frame number in use
[06:17] <Darkside> i think i know what needs to be done to fix it

[08:54] <SA6BSS-Mike1> as we fly sub 1gram paylods we dont feel a thing ;) netihter do any plane that highly unlikely would hit it :)
[08:54] <Darkside> sub 1gram?

[08:57] <Darkside> what about the rest of it? :P
[08:57] <Darkside> (Also pls mail me some)
[08:57] <Darkside> :P
[08:58] <SA6BSS-Mike1> well, if we talk about th emost compact thing
[08:59] <SA6BSS-Mike1> is 1 gram, the other is large 0,35 gram pices (solar cells) so its a large object with no mass to its size 3,5 gram complete with cells
[09:00] <SA6BSS-Mike1> put a large hale on a scale and see what weighs most :)
[09:01] <Darkside> SA6BSS-Mike1: want one travelling around the southern hemisphere? :P
[09:01] <Darkside> not that we have much APRS coverage down here
[09:01] <SA6BSS-Mike1> sure, Il send you one if you like :)
[09:01] <SA6BSS-Mike1> https://imgur.com/1JQCTrV
[09:02] <Darkside> is it APRS?
[09:02] <Darkside> or something else
[09:02] <Darkside> APRS is a bit dead down here, unsure how it would go
[09:03] <Darkside> lots of very big gaps between receivers
[09:06] <LIERO> that is small
[09:06] <LIERO> what microcontroller are you using there, SA6BSS-Mike1 ?
[09:08] <SA6BSS-Mike1> its wspr
[09:08] <SA6BSS-Mike1> with telemtry support
[09:08] <Darkside> ohhh WSPR on HF?
[09:08] <SA6BSS-Mike1> its 328 onboard
[09:08] <Darkside> that would work down here
[09:08] <SA6BSS-Mike1> yes
[09:09] <SA6BSS-Mike1> alall in here, code pcb etc https://github.com/micked99
[09:10] <Darkside> how long is the wire antenna?
[09:10] <SA6BSS-Mike1> 507 x2
[09:12] <Darkside> 507?
[09:12] <Darkside> cm?
[09:12] <SA6BSS-Mike1> yes
[09:12] <Darkside> mmk
[09:12] <Darkside> hmm
[09:12] <Darkside> woudl be interesting to try it
[09:13] <SA6BSS-Mike1> make sure you make it in somwher of 505 - 507 for best performance
[09:13] <SA6BSS-Mike1> rr, il assamble one and get one to you
[09:13] <SA6BSS-Mike1> you will need solar cells and thin 0,12 - 0,15mm wire for antenna
[09:13] <Darkside> what balloons would you be using? I have some 36" qualatex, but not sure they are the best anymore
[09:14] <Darkside> (also they are silver, not clear)
[09:14] <SA6BSS-Mike1> maby two celar chinese with 6 gram fl in each
[09:14] <SA6BSS-Mike1> that will mek it more resiliant from iceing
[09:14] <SA6BSS-Mike1> *make
[09:15] <Darkside> suggestions on sourcing the balloons? (so i can order some)

[09:17] <Darkside> how do you seal those?
[09:18] <SA6BSS-Mike1> fastdrying superglue or iron them shut
[09:18] <SA6BSS-Mike1> use wool two dot setting
[09:18] <SA6BSS-Mike1> with some baking paper between
[09:18] <Darkside> huh ok
[09:19] <SA6BSS-Mike1> mouse pad is perfect to put under the nozzlw, makes a soft eaven seam
[09:21] <Darkside> ordered :-) im sure i wont see them until end of jan lol

[09:27] <ly2en> SA6BSS-Mike1: ict v4 in your github ?
[09:27] <ly2en> ah, I see v5
[09:28] <ly2en> i'll probably start with the ict after I launch the lightaprs-w next
[09:29] <SA6BSS-Mike1> just my naming, have nothing to do with the original author , YO3ICT - Eduard naming, tough the main and most code is his work with some small tweak by me
[09:34] <ly2en> I think I need to study the contents a bit. Thanks for revealing this.
[09:34] <LIERO> yes, we will shamelessly copy it :)
[09:34] <SA6BSS-Mike1> :)
[09:35] <ly2en> it takes a bit of copying with pride until you start doing your own mods
[09:35] <ly2en> :)
[09:36] <SA6BSS-Mike1> yep, everyone have their own idea how things should be done, amazing that put a man on the moon 51 years ago , lol

[10:43] <SA6BSS-Mike1> for waht pupouse?
[10:43] <ly2en> to what extent does that underperform compared to supercaps?
[10:43] <SA6BSS-Mike1> it does not deliver any current
[10:43] <SA6BSS-Mike1> its made for battery backed ram and you will only get a few mA out if it
[10:45] <ly2en> roger, it's 15mA on paper
[10:47] <ly2en> oh crap, its actually 0.15mA :)
[10:47] <ly2en> makes sense.

[13:33] <PE2BZ> ly2en, no problems at all. Had a loss on a foil balloon at about 7000 m most likely of turbulence in the route to Schiphol Airport, and had camera flight where the camera caught an airplane about 1800 m below the balloon. I now realise we have done some flights :-) Flying a balloon at 13000 m could be better, on the other hand, there are also flights who go to that level with BSS balloon and are not received anymore after the first
[13:33] <PE2BZ> night.
[13:34] <SA6BSS-Mike> ly2en: yep, looks good
[13:37] <PE2BZ> SA6BSS-Mike, take care https://imgur.com/1JQCTrV not to send the header up just to save weight ;-)
