[09:42] <Laurenceb> main site says launch in 15 minutes !
[09:50] <fsphil> last I heard nope, they couldn't get a fast enough internet link
[09:50] <fsphil> but that was last week
[09:51] <Laurenceb> ah, makes sense
[09:51] <Laurenceb> they have towed it to some obscure harbour
[09:52] <Laurenceb> beware of out of control rocket heading towards you from a easterly direction for the next 10 minutes then
[09:53] <fsphil> well it certainly would make an interesting addition to the portrush airshow :)

[11:23] <fsphil> google translation messed that up
[11:23] <SpeedEvil> oh
[11:23] <russss> it says that in the scrolling news on the danish TV channel. That's about as much Danish as I can understand.
[11:23] <fsphil> you got a stream? or just watching the flash video?

[12:22] <russss> the (not live yet) one is now live
[12:23] <Darkside> juxta|console: the website says its only goign to go up to 30km :P
[12:24] <SpeedEvil> The proper scale of the rocket is important to note. It should be 47m tall.
[12:24] <russss> yes, it's the first launch of this size of rocket
[12:24] <SpeedEvil> However - this is just a small one. :)
[12:24] <russss> it's the largest one they've lauched so far though
[12:24] <SpeedEvil> yeah.
[12:24] <russss> I think it's still one of the largest rockets ever launched by amateurs
[12:24] <SpeedEvil> Able to carry a person to 30km isn't tiny.
[12:25] <StrayVoltage> Thanks a bunch. :)
[12:25] <SpeedEvil> I question somewhat an unstabilised rocket on a wobbly launch rail.
[12:25] <SpeedEvil> But I suspect they've done rthe numbers.
[12:25] <Darkside> yeah
[12:25] <Darkside> looks a bit unstable there
[12:25] <russss> looks like they're pressurising LOX now ...while they're still on the platform
[12:26] <SpeedEvil> yeah - well - one of the guys is planning on ditching the ballast and leaping in at the last moment.
[12:26] <russss> heh
[12:26] <Darkside> serious?
[12:27] <russss> are they leaving that sub there? Rather their sub than mine.
[12:27] <m1x10> what time they say its going to launch ?
[12:27] <fsphil> the platform is empty now
[12:28] <SpeedEvil> Longzoom is long.
[12:28] <StrayVoltage> SpeedEvil: somebody entioned that the rocket is ballast stabillized.
[12:28] <russss> yep, they're leaving the sub there. Let's hope it doesn't blow up.
[12:28] <StrayVoltage> Eg, that the launch platform moves around, but the rocket stays vertical.
[12:28] <m1x10> EEE there's a submarine there lol
[12:28] <Darkside> cmonnnnn
[12:28] <russss> m1x10: yes, they built the sub themselves too
[12:29] <russss> m1x10: that was their previous project...
[12:29] <m1x10> loled
[12:29] <m1x10> can someone record the video ?
[12:29] <fsphil> the tv2 news stream is really struggling
[12:29] <russss> it'll be on youtube
[12:29] <russss> yeah I've lost tv2 again
[12:29] <m1x10> ah ok
[12:30] <SpeedEvil> And the launch rail fails, and it drags the sub and launch platform to 30km.
[12:30] <Darkside> looool
[12:30] <Darkside> im half expecting someone to jump out of the sub and get into the rocket
[12:31] <russss> I heard the words "gaffer tape" mentioned
[12:31] <Darkside> *awesome*
[12:31] <fsphil> of course :)
[12:32] <fsphil> ha, just heard it -- my stream must be a bit slow
[12:32] <StrayVoltage> Gaffa tape: If you haven't fixed it, you haven't used enough. :)
[12:32] <russss> apparently the batteries are running low, so they need to launch soon
[12:32] <SpeedEvil> Should have used energizer AA lithium.

[15:57] <Dently> well, my interface doesn't work. the GPS seems to work, so I should be able to program the arduino to send the proper commands since it's TTL level already.
