[09:31] so it swings out of sun, I know at roomtemp in a controlled testing it gains lock within 40 sec so I set the gps switshing to 51 sec , lots of things hapen whn they get cold and unstabel vcc [09:31] next will be 55 sec [09:31] ready for countdown [09:32] that remembers me.. itīs ISS day with new pic protocol [09:33] aha, wel, Im waiting for them to tuen on the aprs again so I can test the aprs board to try reach iss repeater [09:34] I will give them a call ;) [09:34] :) [09:34] https://www.ariss.org/current-status-of-iss-stations.html [09:36] oei that is NOW [09:37] yep, next pass is in 30min [09:37] https://www.n2yo.com/ [09:39] what sstv decoder do you use? [16:13] hi all, very interested in chasing HABs and finding sondes. A couple questions: Why does it seem that Europe has a much higher density of balloons, and why does Sondehub have no data from the Rapid City, SD launch site? Is it just a matter of there being nobody in that vicinity running receivers? [16:18] My bet would be you are right :-) Any chance you can start an auto_rx station yourself ? Do you know anything about the used frequency / sonde type ? [16:23] twice a day https://www.blackhillsfox.com/2020/07/21/national-weather-service-in-rapid-city-launches-weather-balloon/ but I canīt recognize the type of sonde. Maybe a nearby university would be willing to host the equipment or something [16:28] New position from 03DG4NOB-13 after 033 days silence - 12https://tracker.habhub.org/#!qm=All&q=DG4NOB-13 [16:31] bismurphy, you can make one for as much as 40 dollars if you have a PC around. On linux there is auto_rx for free, for windows there is 27 days trial sondemonitor, [16:32] and free rs41 tracker but, as it says. only RS41īs [16:33] this is by far the most simple and cheap tracker that can run 24/7 https://github.com/dl9rdz/rdz_ttgo_sonde [16:34] dont know about compatibilety though, but if its rs41 all good :) [16:37] I nearly forgot that one :-) mine are upgraded to TinyGS ;-) [16:37] https://www.weather.gov/upperair/radiosonde [16:38] I have a few, so many project avalible for them1 [16:38] TynyGS, aprs, wx-rx and so on [16:45] gb73d (gb73d@host-92-7-42-10.as13285.net) joined #highaltitude.
